i like snail mail Smile but e-mail is cheaper faster easier than snail, so people like e-mail. i know that and i agree with this kinds of reason. but i want to say that i think snail-mail is better to know about each other more specifically. in conclusion, e-mail to meet new friends, snail-mail to make good relationship with my friends.
so how about you?

hmm It depends .... I rather use Email because i have a very bad handwriting Laughing There are times i can't even read my own handwriting Razz
But i do think that snail-mail is something more personal than an email

Oh I loooooooove snail mail!!!! I am such a child in that regard and when I receive anything in the mail, I still get excited. Very happy i don't think that will ever change. Even my little boy looooooooooves to get mail I think he gets mroe than I do!).

I also have bad handwriting because of tendonitis, but still I wouldn't mind trying to write in short bursts; I love that pretty paper and all the cool stuff that goes with it. And I met many people through pen pal mails through--wonderful!!!!

I do love e-mail, though, I have to admit, and I can scan stuff and e-mail it to friends, like articles and stuff that years ago I might have paid a small fortune to mail. But still snail mail rocks!!!!! Very happy

thank u guys! i am happy to know about your idea. generally japanese (like me) like snail-mail, hand writing letter. and especially high school students, young girls love it. even in class,we write a letter for friends and pass it.

malemicha65 | 18 April 2007 - 8:39am

I like both but e-mail is just so much easier and quicker.

femaledickiesxgirl | 18 April 2007 - 8:46am

Nothing beats the feeling you get when you receive snail mail (anything and everything except the bills of course!) Laughing And Yannick, even terrible hand-writing cannot spoil that wonderful feeling you only get from receiving snail mail... well, I hope not or else it's straight to the bin for all my letters sent! Rollin' It's something about personalized letters, isn't it? Like the effort you put into writing it or just seeing that person's hand writing makes a BIG difference, doesn't it? I mean; have someone send you snail mail that has been typed and decorated from leaf to leaf w/computer graphics - it still cannot beat the little doodling and less than perfect smiley faces, flowers, etc, can it? Nevertheless, we can't say emailing hasn't helped us keep in touch on an everyday basis and up-to-date Very happy

femaleMoonShadow | 18 April 2007 - 10:39am

I prefer email...so easy to just type and send, and I've gotten spoiled LOL!!

I love snailmail. although it is slower and my handwriting isn't the best. but to open a letter is so much more personal than email. but I do email too, because not all of my freinds love snailmail Smile

for people who like snail-mail! if you want to get snail-mail from tokyo:) so let me know if you want to get letter fr tokyo written in english and japanese. i will give you japanese name if you need.

femalebluma | 19 April 2007 - 9:35pm

I like both... but you can get alot more creative with snailmail and if your handwriting is bad (mine isnt bad just hard to read!) then you can type your letters.. I print which is a bit better.

you can also send cool things in the mail.

Oooh, I've always loved snail mail so much. Smile I like it more than e-mail. Still I use e-mail more frequently, as it's quicker and many of my friends prefer e-mail rather than snail mail.

I much prefer snail mail. I'm jst hopeless when it comes to writing email.
Oh, that reminds me that I still haven't replied to a mail from my friend that I received in January... Embarrassed

I used to do snail mail since I didn't have a computer, leave alone internet! I used to have lots of penpals when I was a teenager, but unfortunately they stopped writing one by one as they got married and had kids Sad Now I prefer e-mail because I get impatient to hear from my friends and snail mail can take really long if the person lives on the other side of the world. But I do send gifts and cards for special occasions by snail mail. It's a more personal touch.

femalejazzcat | 30 June 2007 - 12:12pm

femaleShiver Me Timbers | 7 July 2007 - 8:27am

Snail mail!! I LOVE getting letters in the post. I reply quicker to something I get in the post than I do if I get it via email.

Snail-mail! Only because, I'm so poor at answer to e-mails. And it just so boring, receiving e-mails and sending them, I mean.
And I usually write a lot longer snail-mails than e-mails. My e-mails are usually like couple sentences.
It's too a lot exciting to wait for a snail-mail than e-mail.

Snail-mail when I don't have a pc and when I want to get a penpal. E-mail to close friends and for to start contacts. Greetings from holidays HAVE to be by postcard.

Snail-mail is so much more personal. You can see and show how important de destinato of the letter is by using paper, ink, hand-writing and decoration. With an e-mail it is impossible to do that.

I am for email. it is faster. Somehow find it difficult to open up about things with a person that I maybe read about once a month or so.

femaleCryptic Clue | 29 October 2009 - 11:00am

I love receiving "real" letters. That moment you see them laying on the doormat. Your heart smiles, when you recognise the handwriting. I'm dreadful though, I literally scoop them up, chuck whatever I am carrying on the floor, and rip open the envelopes. It is not unusual for me to sit reading my letters in my coat! There is something rather lovely and personal about someone taking the time to actually physically write. I love receiving my letters no matter how long they take to reach me.

i adore getting snail mail letters (thats part of why i'm here). i have the "doctor" handwriting so it isnt the best but snail mail just has a different touch to it. it's always exciting for me to get a new letter in the mail from someone.

femaleMariatje | 29 November 2009 - 8:33pm

e-mail

Snail mail gets you into the habit of exercising patience. E-mail has it's plus points but it kind of makes us obsessed with the instant world we are so often forced to live in. E-mail is the Starbucks and McDonald's of this world. With snail mail you are always rewarded by your patience and you always appreciate it when you receive a letter through the post with a real stamp and a handwritten address. Nothing beats that. Smile

femalenightwish77 | 7 December 2009 - 10:14pm

I have to start again with penpalling but I hope I find some new penpals soon because I love to write and to receive real letters!!

femalenunyabiznees | 20 December 2009 - 2:15pm

Both. Snail mail is nice & I tell all my snail mail pals from the start that I'm not a regular mailer. Not like every other week & such. Probably once a month. We mostly send little stuff & postcards, too, as well as letters. I do email regularly with my pen pals, though. It's more convenient, all around. And do Skype, too, since I've gotten a Skype phone & I don't have to sit in front of the pc & talk. Very happy
