Have you ever walked out of a movie at the cinema because it was so bad?

I never walked out of anything but began to doze off during a few stinkers.

Yes, of course. Why should I be expected to subject myself to further torture?

maledanihl | 24 June 2007 - 12:13am

Not that I remember. I tend to think that if I am not enjoying a movie that I went to is probably out of lack of background.

That definitely happened to me when I went to watch HULK.

I've walked out before and asked for a refund, because someone brought a baby and it kept squalling so loud I couldn't hear the movie. Why do people do that? I don't spend $8 on a ticket to hear someone's kid crying. If they can't get a sitter than they should wait until it comes out on video.

I never have walked out but luckily the films I have been to go see were all good. Except from one which was Jarhead, the war movie, which bored me so much I fell asleep... it was *so* boring!!

No but I was about to when the dragon in "Eragon" started talking. The movie was a cheap rip off of Star Wars and LOTR.

No I haven't.. but there's been a few movies I've seen that wasn't really worth seeing.. instead of walking out I either doze off or simply just sit there watching the rest of it.. after all I've paid for watching the movie Razz

I should have done it with "catch me if you can", sorry that movie was boring, but I've watched it til the end.

malejust.me.redeemed | 20 March 2009 - 6:08pm

no! never! i have never watched a movie soo tedious or mundane which would compel me to walk out of the cinema.

malefalling_fenix | 20 March 2009 - 6:54pm

Not that i can remember, no. It's been a long time since i went to the cinema, but i can't recall ever leaving before the film had finished, though i probably should have done more than once.

thank god! i watched Burn after reading on DvD...cause otherwise i would have walked out..this is one of the most dull movies i've ever seen.

femaleAs Mo Mheabhair | 24 March 2009 - 7:11pm

I don;t get to go to the cinema that often, so usually I check out a movie or go see one I really want to see anyways. So no, I can;t sat that I''ve walked out. I did get stuck in one awful one before, but I was there with some very funny friends, and we were the only people in the cinema-what a sign about the movie, eh?-so it wasn't all too bad.

No I haven't, probably also because I have only been once in my life to the cinema.

femaleCryptic Clue | 7 February 2010 - 12:04pm

No but very nearly. I saw The Colour of Money, years ago and spent the whole time waiting for it to sort of "start" and then it finished.

Great question actually!!!
Yes,I've walked out twice actually which considering how often I've been is pretty good odds.
One time was because the ushers sent me in the wrong film(!!!) and the second time...to be honest I can't remember which one it was ...(I've since paid too much money to my therapist to try to forget it Wink !)
The only film I ever fell asleep watching, atleast, for the first time was "Die Another Day"

male_ONE_ | 26 February 2010 - 1:23pm

I have walked out many many times. I do not like wasting my time watching a movie that I do not enjoy. If it is boring and uninteresting I walk out rather than sit there and waste my time and destroy my mood. The time saved and my good emotions is better than the money spent for the movie.
